Doctor Atoosa Kourosh, MD, MPH, RYT, is a board-certified pediatrician and allergy and immunology specialist, a public health professional, and a registered yoga teacher.
Bringing all these together, Doctor Atoosa combines treatment modalities from mainstream medicine with the best of functional- and integrative medicine ideologies and traditional philosophies to treat the whole person in their environment and context.
As a health care practitioner and advocate, her areas of expertise include the holistic treatment of food- and other types of allergies; immunology, including COVID-19 virology; the therapeutic use of yoga, meditation, and nature; wilderness medicine; pediatric advanced life support; and global health, including health equity and access to care. Doctor Atoosa’s experience and education have brought her all over the globe, where she has provided medical care, clinical mentoring, expert consultancy, patient advocacy, and therapeutic movement and breathwork treatment in settings ranging from resource-limited wilderness to urban hospitals.
Doctor Atoosa is the chair of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology’s committee on integrative medicine and is a nationally- and internationally renown expert on holistic and integrative allergy and immunology medicine. She is the only holistic allergist in her states of practice.
